Michelle Warnky is co-owner of Movement Lab Ohio in Columbus, Ohio. She is extremely thankful for her family, business partners, and community who have been a huge support to her while starting up and owning a gym, as well as competing. It has all been by the grace of God! She has been on American Ninja Warrior for 5 seasons, season 5-9. She was one of the first 3 women to hit a buzzer in season 6, along with Kacy Catanzaro and Meagan Martin. She has competed in the City Finals every year but her first year, and competed in Vegas Finals for her first 4 seasons. In season 9 she didn’t compete in Vegas, but made it the furthest she ever has in City Finals, making it to the Nail Clipper-the 8th obstacle. Other than the two finishers in Cleveland ANW9, Joe Moravsky and Jamie Rahn, the next 20 competitors all fell on this obstacle, including 2 other ladies, and it came down to time.
Michelle always puts a Bible verse reference on her leg while competing, a tradition that started in college when Michelle didn’t know if she’d be able to run another cross country race due to compartment syndrome. It is her way to say thanks to God for the ability to compete, a way to share God’s love with others, and a way to help Michelle dig into the Bible before the competition, focus her mind, as well as keep things in perspective. Michelle has also competed on Ninja vs Ninja for all 3 seasons (formally called Team Ninja Warrior) on the Lab Rats team with business partners Chris and Brian Wilczewski. Michelle remained undefeated in all of her races in the first 2 seasons, and season 3 is about to air. Michelle also loves running Obstacle Course Races, and has placed 4th at the OCR World Championships 2 different years, and 6th this past year. She also competed on the TV show, Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge, with a team of fellow Ninjas. They were undefeated till the semi-finals round.
Michelle is so thankful for all of the opportunities she has gotten to be a part of. Life is full of obstacles and a tricky balance, and it is a blessing to have a community to help strengthen and encourage us as we walk through it! Michelle’s desire is to mutually encourage others that she meets and gets to know through this ninja experience!
